New Yahoo Group For Ohio Valley Hams

The group is called Upper Ohio Valley Amateur Radio or UOVAR for short.
It’s a group to discuss and coordinate Amateur Radio events and/or
gatherings in the Upper Ohio Valley. This mailing list is NOT a club
and has no official ties to any club. This group is NOT an attempt to
start another ham radio club. All are welcome. If there is
something going on with ham radio in the area this is the place to
announce and/or discuss it. For example antenna parties, special event
stations announcement , request for volunteers to help provide
communications for a race or other event, just to name a few.
We would also like to list area club meetings and events using the
calendar function in yahoo groups. All hams
and ideas are welcome.

One current topic on the group is help being needed for the ham
station at the Weirton International Festival of Nations on April 2nd.
